We were looking for our first home around the Peninsula area and met Cory at an open house where he was representing the seller. We had an agent, but found Cory much more knowledgeable about the area and provided his honest feedback about each location and price range we were looking for. He followed up with me after that open house and found us the perfect house in 3 days after we met him.Cory knew exactly what we were looking for, the type/style/location/size, and found us a beautiful house in a great neighborhood and excellent school district, negotiated for below market value, provided timely communication and expectation, and finally we closed on the house.I have heard horrible stories from friends with nonresponsive agents. Cory is the opposite so we felt very lucky to have this random luck of meeting him.-- He is very responsive - via email and phone-- Accommodating and flexible, worked above and beyond normal hours: During paperwork time and counter offer time, he accommodated our schedule and met us even around 10pm and explained the process and discussed strategies on how to proceed until midnight. Yes, midnight, many times. How many agents do you know will do that on multiple occasions?-- Communication: he relays the messages from seller's agent promptly and clearly, I like the fact he is able to provide suggestions and come up with a strategy for us-- Price: of course, all things come down to price. He showed us neighborhood comps, he understands the seller's expectation, came up with proposals that is below market value in our case at that time, worked with the counter offer and terms that was acceptable to us and the buyer. It was a well executed home purchase with great price point for the house.I am an accountant and am picky, and Cory has exceeded my expectation of what a real estate agent/broker role would be. I would absolutely work with Cory on future home buying and selling - we are very lucky to have bumped into him at the random open house and met him.You can't go wrong working with Cory - he'll be straight forward with your expectation, pricing, location, and help with negotiation and realistic outcome.

We met Cory while cruising around San Carlos looking at open houses before deciding to move from Mountain View to San Carlos. While many other agents just wanted to shovel us listings and emails before we committed, Cory took the time to build a relationship over 5 months where he patiently educated us on the various neighborhoods and property types, explained the best housing options for our family, and offered strategies on how best to sell and buy. Again, all of this before we committed to using his services. Needless to say, he was our listing and buying agent. As most buyers will attest, we are in a "seller's market", and your agent can be the difference maker. Cory was that difference maker for us. Cory was instrumental in helping us see the potential in the property we eventually bought and was able to expedite negotiations with the listing agent before a bidding war ensued. We cannot recommend him enough.

We have bought 21 properties between rental properties and our primary residence houses in the last ten years. For that we have met countless real estate agents. Cory is simply the best! In addition to working very hard, he is intelligent and well organized. He always stayed on top of things and worked efficiently. To help ensure that we made good decisions, Cory went above and beyond to gather information related to the houses we were interested. Most importantly Cory is an honest agent. We really enjoyed working with him.

Cory is relentless - which is exactly what you want in a realtor when you're looking in an area where inventory is tight. We met Cory at an open house while we were working with other agents. He asked about what we were looking for (and really listened) and then asked if he could call us if he found something that fit our needs. Over the next year, he called us periodically to show us things he thought would match our criteria. He didn't waste our time with houses that were close fits but "not quite." What was most impressive was that he showed us places before they hit the market. Not once did the agents we started out with do anything as proactive as Cory did, so we eventually parted ways with them. Cory brought us "our house" before it went on the market. We had to move fast as the seller had special circumstances. When our lender couldn't meet the required deadlines (and swore that no one could), Cory found us a new broker who 1) got us a better rate 2) met all the deadlines 3) did it with a smile. We know we wouldn't have the lovely house we have now were it not for Cory. If you're looking to buy in San Carlos, you'd be foolish to go with anyone else. Oh, he's a nice guy, too!

[ link omitted ]! I sent a request about a home to Cory and few more people purely based on the earlier reviews. I sent that request out at around 8pm that night and Cory replied and called me at around 8:30pm to talk about that house. Just during that phone call, I felt like he was very knowledgeable of the area, market and also had lots of connection w/ people (having connections is a BIG deal BTW).At around 9pm, after our first discussion, he immediately called the listing agent of that home to dig more details and it turned out that the house was already sold.Later that night he sent us a few more homes, in similar price range, and same neighborhood. The next day we met and toured all those homes and we actually liked 1 of the homes.And believe it or not, we made an offer just 3-days later. This is just 3-days after we met first met him! During those 3 days we met with one of Cory's references, we went to his home, we met with a contractor, brought him to this new home for high-level inspection etc etc.Overall, we are very happy and feel lucky we found Cory.I think if you are buying a home in San Mateo, San Carlos, or any of the nearby cities, you should definitely go with Cory, it will save you a lot of headaches.

My husband and I were very lucky to have Cory help us purchase our first home. Cory was always available to show us homes and was always keeping his eye out on new properties that were listed that would meet our requirements. When it came time to make an offer, Cory always had our best interest in mind and looked out for his clients. We met Cory by chance at an open house. While chatting we told him what we were looking for and within one week he had found a property, scheduled a tour, and negotiated an offer for us that was accepted, on a property that met our requirements extremely well. He is proactive, responsive, detailed and knows the area extremely well. I would describe Cory as a "high-value" broker.

As a first time home buyer, we had a lot of anxiety, but Cory was calm and offered the appropriate advice to get us the winning bid. Before meeting Cory, we had another agent who lacked many of the skills needed in this over-heated real estate market. We had been losing bid after bid and were extremly frustrated. 5 days after we started working with Cory, he found us a house. Our dream house; none the less. Cory is everything you need in an agent- a masterful negotiator, knows the market inside out, reliable and honest. As I've stated above: He is the best!

Cory is masterful and we are still stunned by what he accomplished on our behalf. We relocated to the Bay Area from NYC in January only to discover that the real estate market had reached absurd levels of frothiness, especially in highly sought after Peninsula areas like San Carlos and Belmont, which have high quality school districts and are centrally located. After 4 months and 3 lost bidding wars we were completely dejected and forlorn. We gave up on the Peninsula and shifted our focus to the South Bay. Our agent, although well meaning, was unable to give us any competitive advantage. It was by chance that we met Cory one Sunday afternoon at an open house in San Carlos. Although we werent in interested in the open house, we shared our struggle with Corey and he offered to help. With nothing to lose, we called him a few days later. That was on a Friday. By Wednesday afternoon of the following week, we had an accepted offer! And this was our dream house in the Belmont Hallmark Area. And it ended up appraising $100k over our offer! I wont say how Cory did it thats his secret sauce. I can say however that he is highly creative and resourceful, and created this opportunity out of thin air. He also has a charisma which enables him to push the envelope as far as it will go without ruffling feathers. And he operates with the highest integrity he gave our former agent a referral fee when he was under no obligation to do so. Most of all he is miracle worker! He really changed our life we feel so lucky to have run into him on that Sunday.

He was very easy to work with, friendly, helpful, proactive, knowledgeable about the area, reliable, honest, and an excellent communicator. We met Cory at an open house while we were only casually looking, but he was immediately engaging and not in the way that many agents harass you or get pushy. We made a mental note that when we were ready Cory would be our man. A few short months later we were (finally) ready and gave Cory some tough parameters to work within, but he never complained and was always presenting us with unique and exciting opportunities. We had worked with few realtors in the past and discovered Cory in one of the open houses in San Mateo and Cory being Cory, ended up opening up few more homes for us by 9 PM the same day. It took us sometime to find the right home for us and Cory has been incredibly patient, responsive, educational, forthright in what he believes the market realities are and almost always right when it came to predicting the sale price of any property.
