More about Garrett Morris

In Real Estate it's all about the details, and I'm obsessed with them. Why? Because I'd rather do things RIGHT rather than have problems show up for you later. It takes experience, honesty and transparency to avoid mistakes and to do things properly in a business as complex as this one and I refuse to compromise integrity for anything. I'm not the fanciest or the biggest real estate agent in this area but according to my clients I'm the best. If that means staying up late or coming back from vacation early to get your deal closed, I consider it my responsibility to get it done. Real estate transactions because of the impact they have in your life are too important to leave to part time or inexperienced agents. The only thing that counts is making it happen exactly the way you want it. Period. Your real estate transaction is something I take very seriously. It's all about YOU, ...

  • Garrett and I connected, but did no business

On Sep 23rd 2017 their agent Garrett Morris showed our home to a client that is also his Sister in Law. While here He allowed not only the Sister in laws children but also His own child to play in our daughters room not only making a serious mess but using things like her make up, Damaging items and stealing some things. The house was not left in the condition they found it in by leaving upstairs doors unlocked, lights on, gates open around the pool area, kitchen cabinets open furniture moved and a variety of other things. At first he knew who the (in his words) the culprits were and not surprised when informed of this. He also made the claim that he had trusted his wife to do the final walk through when leaving (point of fact, SHE was NOT the showing agent on record). He then later changed that statement the he and his wife had done the walk through. Now There is a question that still remains unknown. Amongst the new trash found in our daughters room was some of her school lunch snacks. These were put away in a kitchen cabinet that was left open when they left. There was a dining room chair next to this cabinet. So the question remains who got the snacks out for the Children ? Was it an adult that got them for them to take and smash on the floor in our daughters room ? Or were the Children left so unattended that they were able to move the chair over and get them out ? At first he was going to have the Children involved write apology letters and reimburse us for the items stolen or destroyed. 3 times he told our realtor he was going to do this doing a no show each time. Now He has decided to deny all responsibility A police report has been filed and TREC (the Texas Real Estate Commission) will be receiving a very detailed complaint including copies of all communications between Him and our realtor, Pictures and very well written statement by a very upset and angry 12 year old girl who had what should be her safe place in this world completely VIOLATED ! We have been beyond patient in giving them the time to attempt to make amends of some form and they have chose to not take this matter seriously. I have to question the ethics this company and that of the broker in charge who is very aware of this and also chosen to not make any attempt to correct this. Under real estate rule and law the showing agent has a duty to preserve the integrity of the home as they found it upon arrival. To not do so is an ethical violation and to do this is also a criminal case. I personally will not allow ANY agent from this company to show our house again and would recommend that for anyone. I also have to wonder if they will behave and act like this during and after a showing how honest would this agent or broker be in a real estate transaction ?
