Marcus Curtis was an amazing real estate agent! My mother had switched to Marcus when purchasing her house. The agent she was using was always like an hour late and she would always see Marcus around town showing other buyers homes. She was extremely happy switching to Marcus, so when I was ready to buy I knew I wanted Marcus to be my realtor as well. He was so helpful! I highly recommend Marcus. Aside from doing the run-of-the-mill agent work, he can answer important and relevant questions that almost no other agent can. He frequently answered questions before I had a chance to ask themor even knew to ask them. The reason for his Alex-Trebek-like ability is his experience: In our conversations, I learned he started the path to becoming a real estate agent in home construction, and then he became a home inspector. After becoming a real estate agent, he went on to found his own firm. He also manages rental properties and has not only closed several short sales but has taught classes to other real-estate agents on how to navigate the short-sale process. His experience and professionalism made the entire home-buying process smooth--From touring homes. When you tour a home, youre of course evaluating whether or not you like; if you like it, will it give you problems in the future and how will those problems cost. Marcuss inspecting and constructing experience was invaluable. He could give a ballpark figure on the cost for a fix, then follow it up with the specific steps it would take to fix it (in case I wanted to try to fix it myself). I called contractors a couple of time to verify before putting any offers in, and Marcuss estimates we spot on.--From making offers. We ended up buying a standard-sale home, but it was nice to know that Marcus would be able to make the right moves to get us a short sale (or foreclosure) if thats what we ended up wanting. --To closing the deal. This was my first home purchase, so I was nearly overwhelmed by the flood of paperwork and decisions I needed to make in a short amount of time (e.g., contingencies, inspections, loans, etc.). I appreciate Marcuss ability to empathize and help me keep my wits about me. I expected him to lose his cool with me, but he was steady under fire.--To Following up. When I finally got the house and thought it was all over, I still had questions regarding anything from the transaction to getting advice on where to shop for antique door handles. Hes still answering questions. (Sorry Marcus!)By the way, this was my first home purchase, but I shopped around on real estate agents before choosing him, I went to many, many open houses and talked to lots of agents, so I have a good idea what kind of agents are out there. My Fiance and I had a great experience with Marcus. He helped my parents close on two short sale homes and worked his butt off to get us our home which was a bank foreclosure. With how tough this market is you need an aggressive realtor for a short sale/ foreclosure he's your best choice promise!

We were told by so many agents not to bother bidding on a short sale because they never get appoved. From giving us magazines about how to restore old Victorians to dealing with the lender to answering phone calls at all times of the day, he was always beyond helpful. Marcus was available whenever I needed advice or had a concern. I could text him late in the evening or night with questions and would get an immediate response. I had trouble contacting my bank and getting insurance, Marcus used his resources to get us immediate connections. I believe that he went above and beyond what is expected of a realtor and guided us through the process (first time homebuyers). He gave us his honest opionion when we had questions like how much to offer on a house or how long to wait for a response. Whenever we found homes we were interested in on Redfin, he would set up appointments to view the homes right away and would work with our busy schedules. HE IS A HARD WORKING, FAMILY MAN WHO IS A TRULY HAS A GOOD HEART AND IS THERE TO HELP FAMILIES LIKE OURS TO FIND A HOME THAT IS JUST RIGHT FOR THEM.
