  • Randy never responded to my request

What an awful experience from the very start to the very end. I actually didn't deal with him directly, as he was the sellers agent and I was the buyer but I originally bid on my home and he told us he would have an answer for us within the hour...three days later and numerous attempts of my realtor trying to contact him via phone/ text/ email, we FINALLY got a response telling us that the seller went with the other offer. It felt like he had no intention of returning any of my realtors calls or letting us know whatsoever. One thing that he did do right was called my realtor back exactly one week later to ask him if I was still interested in the home because the other offer backed out. I was, and the offer was accepted within 30 minutes and things started rolling right away. Very shortly after , we ran in to so many different issues. One of the biggest issues was how many times we changed the closing date. I had 3 scheduled closing dates and finally closed on the 4th one (where this agent was not present and the seller arrived an hour and 45 minutes late). The reason for not being able to close was due to sloppiness of the seller and his agent as well as poor communication. First it was the plumbing, then it was the re inspection, then for the grand finale.....the day of the third closing date, THE DAY OF , they title company finds a lean on the house which moved our closing date once again. We asked for maximum concessions and he did not provide them. Instead, I got a check directly from this agent for $300.00 and was told I was going to also receive a gift card to Roast, which is an upscale steak house in downtown Detroit for $100.00. I was satisfied enough with that because I no longer wanted any of the stress that came with all of the miscommunication. My boyfriend and I went to use the gift card last night at the restaurant only to find out that the gift card was only for $50.00. Unbelievable. I am not the one to normally write reviews about anyone or anything however, I just felt as if this should be voiced. It was a disaster from the beginning to the end. My realtor and mortgage team were extremely accommodating and did everything in their power to help get issues resolved so I am so thankful for that. Now that I have the keys to my home and have settled in, the comfort of knowing that I no longer have to ever deal with the seller or his agent is truly enough.
