I engaged Ron King, as a first time home buyer, to assist me in locating and buying a suitable property. I was interested in getting the very best deal I could and therefore we shopped foreclosures and short sales. Given the fact that I was using FHA as my financing tool many of the homes we viewed and made offers on were turned down because they did not meet minimum FHA guidelines. In March 2008 I relocated to Atlanta, GA from Detroit. Ml for a career change and started searching for a home. I was looking for a foreclosed property initially, but did not find anything satisfactory. As a result of not finding anything, I began looking into buying a new home. I was not sure where I wanted my new house so decided to look at houses within a 30-minute commute-radius from my job. I looked at hundreds of houses and spent the next four months looking at houses and talking to real estate agents. (This was key because I was new on my job and did not have a lot of time to waste on viewing properties that did not meet my needs.) I agreed to become one of his clients based on his promise.
